I think that the coils do give some rebound
so I walk a little faster in them
I haven't found them helpful for my knees or back though

I've been trying to downsize my purse so i bought the Haiku Escape Bag I like the collage look and the olive color It's a good size It holds all the essentials with room for a bit morernrnPerhaps it would work better a little wider and a little less deep however Also I'm not crazy about the bright lime strap - if it were a color similar to the bag I'd like it better But basically I'm very happy with it and now it's my everyday bag

I bought these for a trip to Chicago - lots of walking there! I wanted comfort and something a little dressy and this style was perfect The ankle strap adjusts with velcro so it was easy to loosen or tighten as the day progressed I had tried (and returned) several others J-41 Earth Birkenstock and more and those tended to flatten my foot so it looked awfully wide and the styles were more casual than what I was after These are great
