These sandals were extremely comfortable at first but after wearing them all day I have to say they need a little more firm arch support I also have the Clarks Wes sandal which has a very firm arch support that I need and I absolutely love that shoe and wish these were like them These also fit just a bit too wide and I can feel my foot sliding around when I walk Although they are very cute and great for short outings but not all day

My daughter likes to hike the dirt trails around our house with me going about 3 miles She says they are really comfortable and never hurt Lots of wiggle room for her

I fell in love with these shoes in Mahogany in a catalog and was happy to find that ThumbTrade even had a better price! I love the look of these shoes particularly the print strap and sides in this color They are adorable and I really wanted to like and keep them However they are not at all comfortable for me and I'm not sure they can be broken in so I will be returning them I ordered an 8 the size I generally wear and that I wear in a Merrell Jungle Moc The shoe seems a little shorter than I would expect and significantly too narrow through the ball of the foot I felt that my foot couldn't even relax all the way down into the shoe and the balls of my feet were cramped and uncomfortable feeling as I tried these on at home I also felt that the shoe was too tight and rubbing on the area just above my big toes If you like this shoe but find you have fit issues similar to mine I would recommend the Keen Amsterdam which I have and have loved for a couple of years or the Born Carlisle which I have in blue patent leather and find it goes with everything and looks sharp Both of those shoes are comfortable enough for me to do serious walking in them I wish the Merrell Plie had been a better fit for me!
