Unfortunately the Rockport shoes I really wanted were no longer available--they were a slightly dressier version of the World Tour Elite-Encounter
But these are as comfortable as my earlier Rockports from day one I travel to Europe a lot and they are particularly good for walking on cobble-stoned streets'uneven surfaces
etc Just wish they weren't quite so casual looking

These shoes are so cool! they are made perfectly casual I got them for back to school but they are so comfy my son is wearing them through summer They can be dressed up or down and my son loves them

I'm very particular to this type of casual loafer and I almost refuse to wear any other kind of kind of dress shoe I half-heartedly purchased this GBX model (because it was cheap) to replace some severely worn out loafers Not expecting much the build quality of this shoe caught me totally off guard The shoe has great looking leather and a phenomenal shape for this kind of shoe (I've bought a million kinds of these - Steve Madden Kenneth Cole Clarks etc)rnrnI think the product pictures really undersell this shoe It looks well built and feels sturdy and comfortable (although it does appear to run just a little big) The contrast stitching doesn't look stupid and it wears much better with formal clothes than you would think
