Great shoe
It is marketed as a Mountain Bike Shoe and I haven't really used it for anything but in front of my house at this point That said it does grip the pedals well
but it is not especially stiff and it does not have special toe protection as I was under the impression the other 510 biking shoes did Regardless it is still a nice shoe great for those looking for a skate type shoe for biking or just a casual shoe for around town I'm giving it 4 stars since I thought it was going to have a more DH mountain bike design to it The comfort is what is to be expected for a skate type shoe as well

The leather is very soft and supple but the insoles have a slight ridge that runs from the left side of the shoe to right side about where my arches are It wasn't painful but it was annoyingly noticeable and might prove to be uncomfortable if I were on my feet for prolonged periods I tried on two separate pairs to make sure it wasn't a defect and both pairs had it so it's apparently a feature of the shoe I have somewhat flat feet but I've only felt a similar insole ridge with one other pair of shoes (Bostonian Cushings) I also own the Johnston & Murphy Dobson Caps (wonderful shoes by the way) and they do not have this issue so this is just a feature (problem?) with this model For me it was a deal breaker Perhaps arch inserts would have corrected or alleviated the problem for me (never needed them before though) but for this much coin I shouldn't have to be correcting problems inherent in the shoe Were it not for this issue I would have been very happy with these otherwise comfortable shoes You might only need be concerned if you have somewhat or very flat feet too

Great comfortable shoes and I love having the adjustability with these cut sandals My feet are a bit narrow so this works great! Straps are a bit long after adjustment but not enough to distract from the look much
