I have worn Birkenstocks off and on for years and love them

I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot

so I have to wear a shoe with a great arch and Birkenstocks fit the bill perfectly

I also live in Florida

so sandals are a 365 day a year wardrobe staple

I have a pair of the Florida in leather

but I wanted a second pair in another color and the Birkibuc is a great economical alternative to the leather

The biggest thing to remember is that the Birkibuc isn't going to stretch out like the leather

so if it's too snug to start with

time will not help

I love the khaki color

and I can wear them all day for work or shopping and never be aware of the plantar issue

And they look good

too!

These shoes are great

I have bunions and other issues and these Keens are extremely comfortable for all day wear

Fit is true to size

This is my 2nd pair and am ordering another

These are great shoes

if you get the right fit

(I did not buy mine from ThumbTrade but my next pair will be!) I have had some problems fitting these properly

First of all

they run about a size small

So to Camilla

if your toes are hurting

you should try a 1'2 size to a size larger than what you are currently wearing

I wear 9-9

5 in other shoes and I think the right size for me is 10

At first I was fitted with 9

5 and after a few days of wear

my toes hurt and my feet were just unbearably uncomfortable

My local shoe guy refitted me and we weren't sure whether a 10 or 10

5 was the right fit

10

5 was comfortable

but the heel slips

like Danskos do

But now

after a few weeks of wear with the 10

5's

I find the velcro strap coming undone in mid-step and I practically step right out of the shoes

Very frustrating

On the MBT website

it says they should fit snug in the heel

So I think I should be wearing a 10 (normal shoe size 9

9

5 in an athletic shoe)

Otherwise

they are great shoes

This particular style is the most flattering of MBTs

I think

Hope that helps
