The Air Jordan 9 Shoes was released in 1993 shortly following the announcement of Jordan's retirement.On October 6th 1993, Jordan gave the basketball world a shock when he announced his retirement from the NBA. This was just one day before training camp and it was not what anyone had expected at this time. The greatest basketball player of all time retiring at the age of 30. A decision probably affected by the fact that his father was murdered in North Carolina in the summer of 1993 just before he won his third championship.The shoe being released was plain and sturdy and was the first model that Michael did not wear in an NBA seasonal game (due to the retirement). The sole had lots of details and a large 23 was stitched at the back of the shoe.The Air Jordan 9 has been the shoe chosen to adorn Jordan's feet for his statue outside of the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.In popular culture, in the children's movie The Little Rascals one of the bullies, Butch is wearing a pair of Air Jordan IX.American Rap Icon Tupac Shakur was also known to wear Air Jordan Shoes in a popular "Thug Life" photo set in 1993.

Even after I stopped competitive athletics finding a all around economical training shoe was a problem I've had Nike K-Swiss Adidas while with teams In my senior at college in LACA I only had a small budget to work with but I enjoyed running track on the schools dirt field and wind sprints on their soccer field grass I also needed something that could be thrown in the laundry machine and dry out quickly since it was my only pair I found a pair of these black on black Saucony on sale (they only size 13 left) for $3600! That was in 1991 I ran on average of 3 miles a day for days a week and weight trained in them for the next five years They were comfortable light weight simple and durable A totally underrated shoe by all accounts After they wore out I finally went back to the sporting good store to buy another pair They didn't carry this model anymore I succumbed to NB trail shoes and have been wearing them since but I'm going back to this model since you carry And since they are so economical why not get a variety of colors!

I found my first pair of Privo Vacation (in brown & white) at a major outdoor store for more money At first the left heel rubbed uncomfortably but once I got that pair broken in they became one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever worn I like them so much that I purchased a second pair from ThumbTrade and the new pair immediately fit perfectly They're great with jeans when living in the Washington DC area where white (or other) athletic shoes scream "tourist" They provide stability for my very weak ankles without being restrictive I'm surprised at how far I can walk without pain I've also been amazed at how many compliments I've received about the look of these casual shoes I like their comfort and style so much that I bought another style of Privos

Great shoes I bought 95 narrow In mediums I wear 9 but the narrows one half size larger did the trick At first I thought the toe box was too narrow but after one wearing it stretched out very well The soles of these shoes are amazingly comfortable since I need the extra cushy support for a slightly high arch Highly recommend these shoes--cute too ThumbTrade shipping was fabulously fast!
