The Air Jordan 9 Shoes was released in 1993 shortly following the announcement of Jordan's retirement.On October 6th 1993, Jordan gave the basketball world a shock when he announced his retirement from the NBA. This was just one day before training camp and it was not what anyone had expected at this time. The greatest basketball player of all time retiring at the age of 30. A decision probably affected by the fact that his father was murdered in North Carolina in the summer of 1993 just before he won his third championship.The shoe being released was plain and sturdy and was the first model that Michael did not wear in an NBA seasonal game (due to the retirement). The sole had lots of details and a large 23 was stitched at the back of the shoe.The Air Jordan 9 has been the shoe chosen to adorn Jordan's feet for his statue outside of the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.In popular culture, in the children's movie The Little Rascals one of the bullies, Butch is wearing a pair of Air Jordan IX.American Rap Icon Tupac Shakur was also known to wear Air Jordan Shoes in a popular "Thug Life" photo set in 1993.

First and foremost this is my favorite line to wear ever!!!! It is made faboulously The shoes are to die for I could go to a funeral and I would get complemented more on my outfit that people forget they are at a funeral I have NEVER gone wrong in BCBG Max Axria I especially love wearing his crazy shoes that don't match my outfit so that it makes me laugh all day long and makes others look perplexed There has never been one day that I have had a bad looking day in BCBG For some reason it's is like your favorite flat iron it just makes you have a gorgeous day I just cant say enough about this awesome dress or just if you haven't at least tried his shoes'boots that is bordering on heresay!
