Was looking for a comfortable shoe that would serve double duty as a light trail hiker and good all day shop shoe (I'm a woodworker) I tried many trail running shoes and felt the Ahnu was the best compromise of fit and looks (the shoe is still a bit dark for my tastes but that's a minor quibble) After a month I can say the shoe is very well made The stitching reveals an attention to detail not seen on most of the competition The shoe is very comfortable and stability is fair (not as much of a heel as other trail shoes) I have narrow feet and the shoe fits a bit wide like most non-European shoes Arch support is also decent The mesh upper is good for our hot weather in Austin I also like the hide-a-way slip lace system (no untied laces to worry about) rnrnI bought a half-size smaller than I normally wear after trying both my normal size (11) and the pair I ended up buying (105)

I bought these boots for my husband who needed something to wear for working outside in the yard We have a big yard with some steep slopes and the boots needed to have aggressive soles His other boots were hurting the balls of his feet and often would irritate his ankle bone These come in wide which it turned out was just what he needed He said they were very comfortable from the moment he put them on and has worn them for many hours outside at this point still with rave reviews! The materials and workmanship are high quality Also he was worried they'd be too hot because of the thinsulate but that hasn't been a problem even this past week with temps in the 90's

Very nice flattering cut The only thing about it is the color It is called mahogany which I consider to be in the brown family of colors This top (and I have the pants too) are actually a maroon color I even asked co-workers what color and they all said maroon Just an FYI!
