After wearing flip flops all summer I've discovered that I'm having issues with plantar fasciitis I have worn Birkenstocks in the past but they make me look like I have duck feet I came upon the Mephistos as recommended for people with PF and thought I'd give them a try since I had a ThumbTrade credit My Birks are all 38's and I wear between a 7 1'2 and an 8 so I ordered the 38's They arrived today and I excitedly tried them on and I have to say I'm not impressed They feel very narrow and my toes hang off the sides I do not have overly wide feet either I went ahead and ordered them again in the 39 and am really hoping they work since all the reviews say such nice things and they are a cute shoe I am going to keep the 38's for now to compare to the 39's but I may have to return both pairs and just stick with my Birks

Right out of the box these sandals were the most comfortable I have ever worn I took everyone's advice and ordered a half size larger than I normally would have and they fit perfectly The insole is highly cushioned and cradles my feet The sandals stay on well enough that I can run in them while doing dog sports and the sole provides great traction I love how the interior liner provides a little color punch to the shoe Great sandal!

Cool shoe that runs small if you have a wider foot My son wears a 3 wide which is what we ordered It still ran very tight Typically the Stride Rite shoes are great with width but maybe because of the style they ran narrow even in the wide So the point? If you have a kid with a wide foot it just won't work Otherwise the shoe looks cool and he wished badly they felt good
